Melissa Mechelle Rodarte

Melissa M. Rodarte, 57, of Denver, passed away February 15th, 2025. She was born November 28th, 1967 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Juan and Yolanda Ortega. On August 15th, 1997, she married Tomas Rodarte. Melissa was a parishioner at Annunciation Church in Denver. Melissa was a Medical Assistant for over 20 years, serving her community at Inner City Health Center and Denver Health. Apart from working, she enjoyed dancing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured her children and her grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Melissa is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Tomas Rodarte; Mother Yolanda Ortega; Daughter Yolanda (Destiny) Garcia, Julio (Claudia) Rodarte, Pamela Rodarte. Ten grandchildren, Sagnitee Rodarte, Arturo Rodarte, Zemira Garcia, Ethan Rodarte, Leylany Rodarte, Aidan Rodarte, Marco Soto, Nayzeth Soto, Yunuhen Soto; Sister -In-Law Evelyn Ortega Nieces Monique (Jerome) Salazar, Alexis (Ivan) Vigil, Johnny Ortega, Eric Ortega; Sister Jaqueline Smaling Nieces Alize Smaling Layla Smaling; Niece Nicole Gonzales; many extended family and friends and her beloved pets Guero and Loki. She is preceded in death by Father Juan Ortega; Brother Nick Ortega; Son Gilbert Garcia.

All services for Melissa will take place on Friday, February 28th, at Olinger Crown Hill's Serenity Pointe Chapel, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM with a rosary to immediately follow. The funeral service will occur at 12:00 PM with the Graveside service to follow at 1:00PM.
