Noreen Melliadis

01/25/1950 – 02/15/2025

Noreen Margaret (Haughney) Melliadis passed away on February 15, 2025, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She grew up in Bethpage, Long Island and was the oldest of four children. She married the love of her life on April 8, 1971, and moved to Colorado in 1974 where they built an amazing life together. Noreen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was an incredibly strong woman and a genuine example of a good person. She was a beautiful soul who would always help anyone in need. She was a true caretaker in life, her generosity knew no bounds. Her radiant smile and her witty sense of humor lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved animals, the mountains, movies, dancing, the beach, traveling and white wine. She truly lived life to the fullest and she will be greatly missed.

Although Noreen has passed, she will live on in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years Nick Melliadis; children, Natalie Milner and Jenna Melliadis; niece/bonus daughter, Melissa Moore; son-in-law, Rick Milner; grandchildren, Jessica Arnold and Kelsey Milner; sister-in-laws, Angel Melliadis, Angela Kretzschmar and Maria Puccella; brother-in-laws, Pete Melliadis and Dan Kretzschmar; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that she considered to be her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, James and Audrey Haughney; brothers, George Haughney, James Haughney and John Haughney; mother-in-laws, Doris Vera and Donna Melliadis; father-in-law, Peter Melliadis; brother-in-law, Frank Puccella.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11am, with a Celebration of Life gathering to follow at Olinger Crown Hill, 7777 W 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
