

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jeryce {Jeri} and children Kristine {John Warner}, Gregory {Jennifer}, Michael {Pamela} and Granddaughter Emily Marie Lani along with Katlin & Christopher Mastandrea and his brothers Quido, Stephen, Kurt, Franz and his sisters Hannelore Rivelli , Renate Diebold and many friends and relative.
He was born in the Austrian Alps, where he learned to ski at a very young age. His passion for skiing remained with him all his life, earning him many medals.
In 1951, His family immigrated to the United States, settling in Leadville, CO, where he worked in mining. He later moved to Denver, CO, where he was employed in electrical construction. He retired from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center as Physical Plant Manager after 30 years in 1998. He was a member of the BPOE & was Elk of the Year in 1985. He proudly serve in Korea with the US Army.
He loved the mountains and the outdoors. He had a great love for and enjoyed the many pets he had in his life.
He will be remembered for his loving nature and courage in facing the many challenge in his life. He will be missed by his many friends and relatives including Johanna Schaeffer.
Visitation Monday, May 2, 2016, 4pm to 7pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7pm in the Chapel of Peace on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, 10am at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, 80219. He will be laid to rest at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
