Peter was born on December 28, 1935, in Manchester, England to the late Michael and Eliza (Annison) Walsh.
Peter lived in England where he completed primary school and entered the Royal Air Force. It was during this time that he met his late wife, Madelene. They were married on September 1, 1956, in Cambridge, England. In May of 1963, they moved to the United States and settled in Lakewood, Colorado. Peter worked as a draftsman specializing in prestress concrete at Rocky Mountain Prestress for many years. Eventually he created his own company, Pyramid Structures, from which he retired. Peter and Madelene spent their last years in their home in Arvada, Colorado. They shared nearly 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Peter enjoyed being in the mountains, spending time on a quiet lake, fishing, fly tying, boating, swimming, soccer, bowling, and lunch with his friends. Most of all, Peter treasured spending time with his family, singing, and the art of telling a funny joke. He had a wonderful sense of humor and never spoke ill of others. He will be deeply missed.
Peter is survived by his siblings, Johannah Scott, Sheila Carroll, and Barney Walsh; three children, Trudie (Vance) Fortenberry, Ivan (Daiana) Walsh, Rachael (Adam) Walter; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Eliza (Annison) Walsh; his wife Madelene (Bruce) Walsh; brother Mickey Walsh; granddaughter Hannah Darrell; and two infant siblings.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s name can be made to Trout Unlimited (www.tu.org).
