

Ralph Wendel Ingram died on April 8th 2025. Ralph was born in Denver on April 25th, 1953. His parents were Wendel D. Ingram and Inez H. Ingram. In 1963 his family moved from the Park Hill neighborhood in Denver to the town of Wheat Ridge where he attended Wheat Ridge High School. Ralph was involved in youth baseball in Wheat Ridge. After high school Ralph joined the Navy where he worked on a ship that was deployed to the Vietnam war. After Navy duty, Ralph came back to Colorado for a short time. He then traveled to Alaska where he worked as a timekeeper for 3 years on a large Kenai construction project. In the latter 1970’s Ralph then returned to Colorado where he started his career with the Public Service Utility Company in material supply. At age 39 Ralph was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Ralph grew up in an outdoors family and he always had a tremendous passion for the outdoors. He hunted and fished extensively in North America. In any measure Ralph lived for the great outdoors. After his health deteriorated Ralph then participated in the Outdoors Buddies program which provides handicapped sportsmen and women with hunting and fishing experiences. In dealing with medical issues Ralph was not quick to complain and his trademark was his infectious smile. He made friends far and wide. As a giving person Ralph in his later years even helped his mother with her health issues. Ralph is survived by his sister Kathleen of Arkansas and extended family. We will remember Ralph as a wonderful person, great brother, and lifelong friend.
A celebration of life for Ralph will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Following the celebration of life will be a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.
