

On Friday, February 23rd Richard “Dick” A. Layman, loving husband and father of four, passed away at 85, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Dick, a native Coloradan, was born to Virgil Layman and Beatrice (White) Layman in January 1939. He grew up in Lakewood and graduated from Alameda High School. His career was spent at Coors Brewing Company for 32 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia, children Rand Layman, Scott Layman (Joette), Darin Layman (Jill), and Heidi McIntosh (Kirk), brother in law John DeCrescentis, grandchildren, Randy Layman, Ryan Layman, Autumn Layman, Scott Layman, Jr, Tara Layman, Jason McIntosh, Jack McIntosh, Toby McIntosh and great-grandchildren Lucy, Randsome, Arlen, Ayla, and Aurelia; sister Shirley Heismann (Carl), nephews Ricky (Juanita), David (Sheyna), Brandon (Keegan), nieces Wendy, Shantel (Randy), Renee (Travis), Michelle (Cris), Robin (Mike), Katie (Mark), Michelle and Renee. Also survived by his four-legged fur baby, Teddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Bea Layman, mother-in-law Marie, father-in-law Robert, Sisters-in-law Janet and Diana, and brother-in-law Richard.
Dick's first marriage blessed him with three energetic sons, Rand, Scott, and Darin. His second marriage brought the arrival of his baby girl, Heidi"He married Patricia DeCrescentis in 1980, and they enjoyed 44 years full of adventures, memories, love, and family. Dick loved everything outdoors, including skiing, golfing, hunting, fishing, ATVing, camping, road trips with the Mustang, off-roading and motorcycles. Dick’s greatest gift, whether giving or receiving, was his gift of time.
