Robert “Bob” Hudson was born in Longmont, Colorado on March 2, 1925 to Ross and Lillian Hudson. He grew up in Denver, attended East High School and the University of Colorado where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He met his future wife Bobbie Burns while at CU.
His college education was interrupted by 3 years’ service in the Navy during WWII. His ship, the LST816, entered into Tokyo Bay after the fleet for the signing of the surrender of Japan, ending the war.
He and Bobbie travelled extensively worldwide during their 65 years of marriage and enjoyed their winter home in Scottsdale, AZ in his retirement. He loved to golf. Bob was a 50-year member of the Lakewood Rotary Club. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Iliff School of Theology for 27 years and the National Council of Camp Fire Girls. He enjoyed 40 years in the banking business, retiring after 22 years as President of the National City Bank of Denver.
Bob is survived by his daughter Linda, two grandchildren Katie and Zach Gerum, and great granddaughter Layla Mae Gerum.
His daughter Karen and wife Bobbie preceded him in death.
