Robert G. Kusel, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2016. After moving from Lakewood to Denver in the 60's "Bob" attended Merrill Junior High and South High School. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served two terms in Vietnam from 1965 to 1969. After his service, he worked as an administrative assistant for the Denver VA until his retirement approximately seven years ago. He was said to be a "softy" and to have a "quirky" sense of humor. He loved his country and was not reluctant to share his strong opinions about its future. He was a son, father, brother and/or friend to many and will be greatly missed. God bless you, Robert.
Graveside services will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, staging area "A." A reception will follow at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary 7777 W. 29th Ave. Wheat Ridge.
