Roger J Newton

Roger J. Newton, age 96, peacefully passed away at home on September 24, 2025. Born on September 21, 1929, Roger was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.

He was the son of Clyde D. Newton and Bernice R. St. Clair and was proud to be an alumnus of the University of Iowa. Roger's life was marked by his warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Betty LaVonne Ralston; his brother, Jerry Newton; and his son, Kevin Newton. He is survived by his children: Garry Newton, Darla Newton, and Marcia Maledy (Mike Maledy); his long time friend and companion Carol Bryson, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family; other loved ones and friends.

Roger was an avid fisherman and squaredancer. He was also a member of the Colorado Classic Convertible Club where he exhibited his antique cars, participated in cross-county organized drives and drove in multiple parades. Professionally, he was a business partner with Rocky Mountain Professional Consultants and served as President for SMD (Society of Medical & Dental Management Consultants).

Throughout his life, Roger was a shining example of love and integrity. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family greatly appreciates your memorial contributions. The donations will be divided evenly between four of Roger's favorite charities. The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Foothills Animal Shelter, St. Jude's, and Boystown.

A Visitation for Roger will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A Funeral Service will occur Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. A Committal Service will occur Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. A Reception will follow on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
