He was born on May 18, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. In 1974, he married Sue Wilson. Ron worked as a Senior Equipment Operator for the City of Arvada for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Caryn Mahoney; his son, Jeff Mahoney (Natalya Babiak); three granddaughters, Kyali Mahoney, Hannah Rumsey, and Sofia Mahoney; and his dog, Abbi. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Mahoney, and his dogs Jimi, Tigger, Bandit, Saber, and Jackie.
Ron will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery
