

He was deeply loved by his family and friends and everyone that knew him. He was a devoted husband and father and completely selfless. He will truly be missed.
He resided in Denver, Colorado, and is survived by his spouse Evangelina (Angie) Salas, his wife of 45 years. His 3 daughters, Rachel (Robert) Vasquez, Rebecca Trujillo, and Frances Trujillo, and 3 grandchildren, Marcus Hinojos, Stephanie (Joshua) Cobos, Levi Hinojos, and 2 great-grandchildren, Maya Hinojos and Enycia Hinojos.
Ruben was born on February 12, 1950, in Los Pinos, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Helen Salas, of Pueblo, Colorado.
He graduated from Centennial High School, Class of 1968. He was a simple man, he liked listening to a variety of music, enjoyed his Bud Light, and scratch tickets, and loved to go to Blackhawk, he liked to watch wrestling and spend time with his family.
He retired from L&H Autobody after 20+ years and started a career with RTD. He retired from RTD in 2016, where he was a valued and well-liked Maintenance Supervisor.
His memorial service will be held at Olinger Crown Hill, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheatridge, CO 80033, Pavilion Building, September 8, 2023, at 10 a.m.
