Gramps, thank you for always being there for me; you have always been the rock and the foundation of my life. In good times you cheered me on, and bad times you were always encouraging and lifting me up.

Ever since I was a little girl you've made me feel special, like I was your #1. I miss seeing you busily doing something, anything; it didn't matter, because you could never sit too long. Always working, sacrificing, providing and showing me true dedication for those you love. You taught me that you could accomplish anything in life that you put your mind too and to never give up, always try and try again.
 
Some of my youngest memories were you patiently listening to me talk, non-stop, asking a million questions; most of the time you would always try to answer. Of course, unless we were fishing, than you would tell me I would scare the fish away if I kept talking. Maybe that is why I've never caught many fish. 

I loved how you would play the piano, my two favorites were Blueberry Hill and Great Balls of Fire. You're love and passion would shine when you played and it sounded magical when I was a little girl. 

I still smile today how you always made me try to eat different types of food, and are probably the reason why I love brussels sprouts so much now. No matter how tired, or badly you might have felt, you selflessly would try to cook us a meal or offer us an ice cream; and before we left would give us a bag of groceries to make sure we knew you cared. 

You religiously would help others in any way you could. The help you gave me writing my speech when I ran for student council, even if I didn't appreciate it when I was young. I remember it being dreadfully long and ending with the catch phrase, “Don't settle for anything less than the best, and keep on reaching for the stars.” The other kids must not have appreciated it either, because when I would come home you would be so eager to find out if I won, and when I told you I lost, the look on your face hurt me

You would always show up however you could, and I can still recall the dreadfully long speech you helped write when I was running for student council and the ending catch phrase. “Don't settle for anything less than the best, and keep on reaching for the stars.” The worst part of not winning, was the look on your face, because I knew you always wanted the best for me and wanted to help me achieve anything, and you felt like you had let me down. You've never let me down Gramps, you showed up in a million ways. You encouraged me all the way through college. One of my proudest days was standing with you at Regis University with my college degree. I loved how you would save little treats for me, my favorite candy or some special margaritas, simply because you knew I liked them. Thank you Grandpa for the millions of ways you showed me your love, I will always cherish our times together. Whether it be road trips to Disneyland, Grand Canyons, Vegas and all the little fishing stops along the way or our little day trips to the cabin fishing with you and my family; but of course especially the little ways like sitting snuggled next to you on the couch just watching TV.

My daddy I already miss you so much my loving memories of you  dad I will miss is when I walked in the door and you would always have a beautiful smile and tell me how happy you were that I was there, I will miss seeing you,holding your hand and kissing your face. The meals we shared,the rides we took just seeing you smile and enjoying the ride. Our fishing trips our talks about life and family new and old you were just the best dad a daughter can ask for I know in my heart how much you loved me you were always there for me. Thank you I thank God for the years he blessed us with you. Dad rest in the arms of Jesus until we see each other again Dad I love you forever.  With love your daughter Karen ❤️

Rudy was a dear friend of mine. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere sympathies, thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.  May you all be surrounded by love and good memories.  

To all the Ulibarri Family I am so sorry for the loss of your dad, he was a very special person. I met your dad when I was like 5 years old when him and my dad played softball together. I have so many good memories of him. Gone but never forgotten.
