Sadie Mae Schafer, 87, of Aurora, passed away May 21, 2020, in her longtime home. Sadie was born January 19, 1933 in Glenrock, Wyoming. She resided in several states across the country, but loved Colorado for its great outdoors, and is where she planted permanent roots. Sadie was a beacon of strength, who loved camping and gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and her family. She was a talented musician and could play the piano and accordion for hours on end. She was a pioneer in her trade and spent 45 years as a geological draftsman. She is survived by her 4 children Helen, Rhonda (Lance), Arlene, and Bruce. Grandchildren Tina (James), Michelle (Jon), Charity, Jesse, Kim (Matt), Matthew (Mandie), Kyle, and Raelene, and 8 great-grandchildren Joshua, Breanna, Shonda, Tyler, Kennedy, Kade, SadieMae, and Kendra as well as many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents Louise and Warren Cromwell, 2 siblings, Dale and Selma, and granddaughter Krystal. Sadie loved without boundaries, was incredibly loved in return, lived her life with grace and gratitude, and her light will forever be missed. Rest easy GG.
