We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Sandra Anne Einsle, who left us on December 13th at the age of 78 years old. Born on 20th of September 1946, in Wausau Wisconsin, Sandy was known for being everybody’s best friend. She was a devoted wife and best friend to Peter, sharing many interests including skiing and travel. Sandy learned to ski shortly after moving to Colorado to pursue her art studies which she had started at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Quickly after learning to ski, her enthusiasm, and ability to ski backwards, led her to become a ski instructor for little kids, sharing her joy for the slopes.
A dedicated mother, she raised two remarkable boys, Joshua and Ryan, and took pride in her grandsons Hugh and Henry. She was a wonderful caregiver, putting others first, from her family to her many friends. She was a Scout den mother and involved in the PTA from elementary school to high school. One of Sandy’s favorite ways to show her love was through the sharing of her baked goods. These included her renowned pumpkin cookies and as well as Christmas cookie platters that delighted her friends and family. Sandy especially rejoiced in the Christmas season which she lived for year-round. This would include looking for new decorations and ornaments in the summer much to the amusement of her sons and Peter. For her, Christmas was about giving more than receiving. She rejoiced in watching her family unwrap carefully selected gifts, often to the point of forgetting to even open her own gifts.
Growing up on her family’s dairy farm in Wasau meant that she was never a stranger to hard work and could always find jobs that needed to be done. Upon moving to Denver, she started working in real estate as a clerk to support her studies. Over the years this eventually led to her eventually facilitating real estate closings as part of the escrow team. She then eventually worked as a teacher's aide at Maple Grove Elementary School, where the boys had attended. Before formally retiring in 2016, Sandy spent the last 12 years working in various clerk and secretarial roles at Jefferson County and the city of Lakewood. Some of these roles included working in the elections office with her good friend Jill Ozaki.
Sandy is survived by husband Peter, sons Josh and Ryan, grandsons Hugh and Henry. Her three sisters Diane, Mary, and Joanie, as well as her brothers Doug and David. A small viewing and interment will be held on 30 December at Crownhill Cemetery 11am to 1pm to honor her life and the love she shared, followed by a full celebration of life service will be held in April 2025. Flowers can be sent to Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery, and donations can be made to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
