Dear Vicki, Don and Family,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.  He and your mom were wonderful neighbors.  Always had a kind word to say and a helping hand to lend.  God's love and peace to you all.

Son, grandson, brother, husband, father, brother-in-law, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, greatuncle, World War II veteran, pharmacist, pharmacy owner, animal lover and Harley owner and biker but most of all my special uncle. In the words of todays youth - Seth was an awesome uncle. His life was an interesting and rewarding journey - he touched many. His earthly journey is over, his new life begins. We shall cherish his memory and keep him in our thoughts and prayers

It is truly a joy to have known and been family to Seth as one of his God-daughters I have very fond memories of spending summers at BusyCorner Drugs and "helping"  Uncle Seth as I called him with his pharmacist duties-he let me count pills--probably tic tacs but he made me feel important. I hold Seth responslible for all my wonderful years of motorcycle riding as he gave me my first ride was I was pretty small. I always loved being at the house and being around his and harriets love for animals. Robbie and Seth were inseperable and every animal after that! What a loving man , what a blessing. I smiled when I saw the picture you selected of Seth.  This is just the way I remember him!  He was one of the last of a wonderful generation - a true gentleman.

I always enjoyed Jackie's stories of when you would stop and see her on your way to the bike rally.  What extraordinary memories you all have!

I would like to echo the sentiments of my twin brother, Richard. None of our family ever met Seth, but we have read many wonderful letters and Christmas cards from him to our Dad, and, over the years, the name Seth Varney was mentioned so many times in our Massachusetts home that we felt we did indeed know him well. Seth and my Dad, Claudie Foster, had a very special and enduring friendship, and I trust that their spirits are now happily reunited and rejoicing in each other.

Sorry to learn of Seth's death.  I never met Seth, but my Dad, Claudie Foster, and Seth were life-long friends.  I heard many stories from my Dad about their joint adventures from Ansley grade school until WWII separated them.  They maintained contact until my Dad's death a couple of years ago, and I always admired the bond they had over many years and many miles.  He was a true friend.

My thoughts and prayers in this time of sorrow.

It was our pleasure to visit with Seth on several of his trips back to Nebraska.  We especially enjoyed his recollections of Ansley.  One more thing, I'm 62 years old and if I ever get a Harley, it will be because of Seth.  He was proof you are never too old to do the things you enjoy.  We will miss this kind and good man!

I will always remember Seth & George riding their motorcycles to Sturgis, SD for the annual rally.  They stopped in our hometown of Chadron one year, and my children still remember that twinkle in Seth's eye when he said that no "real rider" would trailer their bike to Sturgis!  What a wonderful man and wonderful life!

Vickie, I was so sorry to learn of your father's passing.  During my career with the Pharmacy Board, it was always a pleasure to drop into the Busy Corner and spend some time with Seth and you, and your mom worked there, too, as I recall.  He was a fine gentleman, and knowing him enriched my life.
