She leaves behind a hell of a lot of wonderful memories and a family that she was very proud of. Shirley was best known for the love she had for her family, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear.
All whom loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, strength, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love for them. No doubt she had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. She had a song or saying for just about everything.
Shirley was a dedicated mother and grandma first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gram Cracker.
She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts. She is survived by her three loving children, Daniel (Sarah), Darrell, and Delisa, five grandchildren: Shawna (David), A.J. (Brittnie), Danielle (Matt), Domnick (Callie) and Devon, five great-grandchildren: Jennasee, Aaden, Zoe, Gage, and Ashtyn. Numerous nieces and nephews, godchildren, and friends.
She Married her high school sweetheart, John R. Madonia, who preceded her in death in 2000. They were happily married for 44 years.
Due to Covid, a private family “Celebration of Life” will be held. Her service will be streamed via Zoom on Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 at 9:30am.
