

Shirley Grace SaBell, 92, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. Born on April 3, 1933, in Denver, Colorado, Shirley lived a long and fulfilling life marked by devotion to her family, kindness to her friends, and joy in the simple pleasures of each day.
A loving and supportive wife to her late husband, Wallace "Wally" Henry SaBell. Shirley stood beside him in all of life's adventures, from raising their family to assisting him in his landscaping endeavors - always keeping a watchful eye on the perennials. She shared in Wally's passion for community service, supporting him faithfully during his tenure as president of ALCA and traveling extensively by his side.
Shirley's beautiful smile and laughter was contagious, and she cherished time spent with loved ones. Whether on the softball field, tennis court, or bowling lane, her competitive spirit and warmth brought people together. She took pride in her roles as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always cheering on her family's accomplishments.
Shirley is survived by her children, Sam SaBell and wife Peggy, Connie Baker, and Nick SaBell along with wife Cheri; brother, Fred Shepard; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally; son, Rick; sister, Georgie Riddle; and brother, Ed Shepard.
A Funeral Service celebrating Shirley's life will be held at Red Rocks Baptist Church, 14711 W. Morrison Rd., Morrison, CO 80465 on Friday, January 30th. Viewing will be held at 10:00am with the service following at 10:30am. She will be laid to rest in the Tower of Memories at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery at 3:00pm the same day.
