

Shirley was born on a Saturday in July on the 14th, 1928 in Colorado. Her parents were John E. Wilson and Irma L Hall. Together they had 9 children: LaVern Wilson, Alberta Aryes, Leland Wilson, Shirley Horn Wendt, Charlene Delay, Herbert Wilson, Orlen Wilson, Irma Aldridge and John Wilson.
Our mom was such a loving: Wife, Mom, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother.
Shirley married James R. Horn on July 4, 1947. They were married for 46 years and he was "the love of her life" and he passed in 1993. Shirley married Freeman Wendt on February 14, 1994. They were "good together" until his passing in 1999.
Mom was a warm and caring woman.
Shirley and Jim had three children: James (Lucky) Horn Jr, Sherry E. Kremer and Pamela J. GoKey.
The ones who are still here will miss her great smile, always being happy and her generous spirit.
She is survived by her son James (Lucky) Horn Jr., his wife Maggie Brown, and their handsome son, James (Jas) Horn III and his wife Shannon, and their two handsome boys, Dawson and Caden. Also is his wonderful oldest daughter Roshelle Steg and her husband Charlie and their beautiful children, Taylor, Carl, Amisa, Kaylynn, Allison and 3 darling grandchildren: Aubriana, Ashton and Liam. The youngest of his family is a wonderful daughter Nicolle Clement and her husband Tom and their three beautiful children Talon, Aubrielle and Beckham.
She is also survived by her loving daughter Sherry Kremer and her husband Thomas and their 2 wonderful children, Brad Kremer and Michelle Greco; as well as a wonderful granddaughter Shellain (Gokey) Bedford and her wife Rebecca.
Shirley also has many more nieces and nephews and she loved every one of them.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Horn & Freeman Wendt; her youngest daughter, Pamela Gokey and her husband Dean Gokey; her siblings Leland Wilson, Herbert Wilson, LaVern Wilson and Alberta Aryes.
Our mom was a loving, giving person and she helped a lot of people. She had a great smile and was always happy even to the end.

Her final resting place will be with her first husband, James Horn, at Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
A visitation for Shirley will be taking place at 4:00-7:00pm on Monday, April 3 at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel located at 7777 W. 29th Ave in Wheat Ridge.
Her funeral service will be taking place on Tuesday, April 4 at 9:00am at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace with a reception to follow.
