With love and remembrance in our heart, we celebrate the life of Viola Maxine Ayala. Born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 8, 1926, she lived a long and rewarding life, passing away on June 11, 2014 in Aurora, CO at the age of 88.
Viola was older sister to Harold Corwin and a dedicated aunt to his children, Connie Sheldon, Diane Corwin, Scott Corwin and Christine Burseth. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Corwin, her beloved husband, Albert Ayala, her brother, Harold Corwin, his wife, Dolores Corwin and nephew, Jeff Corwin.
Viola Maxine Corwin married Albert Ayala on October 2, 1971 and embarked on a life filled with music, travel and dancing. She worked as a medical secretary at Swedish Medical Center before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, and exploring Albert’s home, the Hawaiian Islands.
Auntie Vi will be greatly missed with memories of her smile, dedication to her husband and dressed in red, dancing the hula, accompanied by Uncle Al on the ukulele at family gatherings.
