Virgil Edward Applegate 88, passed away gently on May 29th, 2018. Virgil was born March 9th,1930 to Virgil C. and Etta Applegate in Denver, Colorado. He joined the Navy in 1951 and after being discharged met and married Sue Pence. Virgil worked for many years as a warehouse manager in the manufacturing industry.
He loved and collected model trains, loved the outdoors and fished and camped with the family often. His love for the outdoors led him to cross country ski, which he would do alone on occasion, so he had an adventurous spirit. Virgil rode motorcycles and square danced with his lovely wife Sue.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue, his children, Brenda L. Sugar, Deborah L. Clifford, and Ronald E. Applegate, his brother in law, Jeff and Sharon Pence, as well as three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents Virgil C. and Etta Applegate, and his grandson Daniel E. Applegate.
