He grew up on a farm around Lyman, Nebraska and then they bought a grocery store in Lyman, Nebraska. Bill graduated from high school in 1949.
He met his future wife, Loraine Kautz, while in high school. They dated for two years and were married on October 16, 1949. They were married for 70 years. She preceded him in death.
He was a United States Marine from March 1952 until March 1954.
Bill drove a truck for Safeway Stores from 1962 until his retirement in 1995.
Bill passed away on Memorial Day which was very fitting for a proud Marine.
He was preceded in death by his wife (Flora) Loraine Kautz. His parents, Alex and Pauline. His brothers Edward and Gary and a sister Doris.
He is survived by his brother, Marvin of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His children Michael and wife Christie of Broomfield, Colorado and daughter Cindy of Littleton, Colorado. His grandchildren; Alicia and husband Marcus Brady of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Andrea and husband Greg Minnich of Broomfield, Colorado.
Laura Waters of Thornton, Colorado. His great grandchildren; Griffin and Trenna Minnich Harper and Nolan Waters.
