David Emmett Moody

Beloved husband of the late Cheryl. Loving father of Emmett (Shanae) Moody and the late Adam Moody. Proud grandfather of Anabelle Moody. Brother of Karen (Wayne) Weier and the late Michael Moody. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and several loving friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Connie Moody.

David was a longtime member of Multi-Lakes Conservation Association and a dedicated truck driver with Powers Distributing for over 45 years. He was a proud supporter of Walled Lake Central High School Marching Band and volunteered his time transporting the band equipment to competitions for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed cruising around the lake on his boat and loved to watch the fireworks there every year. David loved to travel in his motorhome to different cities around Michigan. During the warmer months, you can catch him on his porch talking and waving to everyone who walked by. He was known for his witty and humorous personality and had a passion for helping others. He will be very much missed by all.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are being collected by the family for Vets with Nets, a passion he shared with his son Emmett.
