Heather Anne McCulloch

Heather attended Royal Oak Longfellow Elementary School and graduated in 1999 from the Lamphere Center, Madison Heights where she benefited from both educational and work activities.

Heather went on to be gainfully employed, working several managed work programs with the oversight of the Macomb-Oakland Regional Center (MORC) / Judson Center. Heather was then hired by the Aramark catering company at the DaimlerChrysler Headquarters, Auburn Hills where she worked various positions for 17 years, until her retirement in 2020.

Heather enjoyed swimming, music, dancing, and bowling. She truly enjoyed swimming in the Special Olympics in Mt. Pleasant.

After leaving home, Heather went on to live in several Oakland County group homes until she was invited to become a resident at the Gert Deutelbaum Home in Waterford, MI. Heather resided there for the next 27 years with the devoted oversight of the My Guardian Angel Home Health Care group, owned and operated by the Diane Doucette family. The multi-generational Doucette’s – Diane, Michelle, Nicci, Shawn, Temeka, Adrianna, Kadijah and Deziree were Heather’s second family for which the McCulloch family is eternally grateful for their loving care.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anne (nee Bourke) and George McCulloch and her grandmother, Anna Bourke.

She is survived by her siblings: Marc (Ewa Niedzielska); Laura; John (Adriana Picano), Michael (Lisa Gnesotto), Mary McKenney, Anne, Susan Anderson (Robert), and Matthew (Joyce Barr).

Heather’s nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews include: Catherine Waligora (Rick) (nee McCulloch), great-niece Lucy; JoAnna Vulcu (Victor) (nee McCulloch); John Jr. (Bridget Bannon), great nieces Scarlett and Aubrey; Christa Polan (Geoff) (nee McCulloch), great nephews Axel and Holt; Lauren Copus (Ryan) (nee McCulloch), great nieces and nephew Roslyn, Ryker and Cora; Megan Schriber (James) (nee McKenney), great-nephew Wesley; Kyle McKenney; Connor McKenney (Alyssa), Marc VanEvery, Ava McCulloch; Eve Anderson, Lilith Anderson, William Anderson; Allison McCulloch, Carly McCulloch.
