James was born July 2, 1929, in Redford, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Sidney and Helen (Warriner) Lush. He was introduced to the love of his life, Marjorie, and it was love at first sight! James and Marjorie were married on September 23, 1950, sharing fifty wonderful years together until her passing on May 27, 2000. From 1952 until 1953, James proudly served his country in the United States Army and served in the Korean war. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his bravery, and upon his honorable discharge, he returned home to begin his career at Detroit Edison. His career as a Forms Analyst lasted for forty-four years until his retirement in 1990. In his free time, James could always be found spending time with his family, playing a round of golf, or cheering on the Detroit Tigers. In addition, James was a very involved member of the Free Masons and was the youth leader for Michigan’s DeMolay and Jobs Daughters. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Helen; his loving wife, Marjorie; and his six siblings: Judy, Hector, Sidney, Bill, MaryAnn, and Patricia.
