James Raymond McDonald

James Raymond McDonald, age 69, of Commerce Township Michigan and formerly of Midland Michigan, Adrian Michigan and Decatur Illinois, passed away May 8, 2016. Loving father of Celene (Chris) Watkins. Proud grandfather of Luke Watkins, Maria Watkins and Elise Watkins. Cherished brother of Janette (the late Ernie) Hiesener and Marg (Norm) Bishop. Dear uncle of Mike (Patty) Hiesener, Jim (Kim) Hiesener, Andy (Jenna) Bishop, Chris (Amber) Bishop and Nate (Anne) Bishop. James will be missed by many other family and friends including Sue Lloyd. Jim developed various, interesting careers including a professorship at Sienna Heights College, Millikin University, a published writer, and his own private business in later years, thus developing many friends throughout the United States. He loved music, reading, golfing, and double scoops of Moomer’s pralines and cream ice cream. He was happiest spending time in Leland Michigan with his family while searching for the perfect stones to polish. Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00am at The Inn at St. John's, 44045 Five Mile Road, Plymouth, Michigan 48170.
