

Jere Beth (Flory) Brunson, 89 died peacefully in Orchard Lake, Michigan on September 17, 2019. She was born on January 7, 1930 in Western Springs, Illinois. She graduated from Lyons Township High School and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
She is survived by her three children, Susan Brunson (Burke) of Phoenix, AZ, Scott Brunson of Walled Lake, MI and Barbara Brunson (Miedema) of Wellington, FL; five grandchildren - Patrick Burke, Ashley (Burke) Cotton, Tyler Brunson, Matthew Miedema and Mallory Miedema along with one great-granddaughter, Ramona Rose Cotton.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Leo and Elizabeth (Goetz) Flory, her brother Lee J. Flory (2007) and her loving husband of almost 50 years Donald Harry Brunson (1927 - 2000). The couple marred on October 13, 1950 in LaGrange, Illinois. Don was the founder of Fastdecks, Inc. a concrete construction company based on Walled Lake, Michigan.
Jere was a gifted artist and enjoyed sharing her beautiful watercolor paintings with friends, family and neighbors. As a lifetime member of a Twin Beach Country Club, she was an avid golfer and Bridge player. She volunteered in many community activities, however, spending quality time with her family was her priority.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at the family home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
