Matthew Thomas Letendre

Matthew Thomas Letendre, age 52, of White Lake, Michigan, was born July 21, 1971 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and passed away September 11, 2023 in Howell, Michigan. Beloved son of Thomas and the late Maggi (née Geary) Letendre. Loving brother of Maureen (Alan) Seifert and Adam Letendre. Proud uncle of Samantha Seifert. Matthew will be missed by numerous other family members and friends.

Matthew was a vibrant soul who found joy in the simplest of things. His laughter was infectious, and he embraced humor through improv and practical jokes. Comic books were his escape, and he was equally enamored with Japanese culture, constantly learning about it. His love for both Marvel and DC movies showcased his eclectic taste. Music was another passion, with favorites like Weird Al, Meatloaf, and Enya. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups were a sweet indulgence he couldn't resist. Martial arts honed his discipline, while reading and continuous learning expanded his horizons. His cherished friends, Adam, Alan, and Samantha, were his partners in fun, whether they were playing Wii video games, watching movies, or simply sharing laughter. But above all, his bond with his father, Tom, was unbreakable; they were the best of buddies. Matthew's daily gift was his infectious smile, a testament to his profound love for life.

Memorial Visitation will be held, Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 12:00pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. In honor of Matt, you have the option to wear a Star Wars, Marvel character, or a fun T-shirt, and there's no need for formal attire like a suit or dress.
