Nathan, I'm so sorry for your loss. My dad Greg told me about Sally's passing yesterday. I have some great memories of the house in West Bloomfield and the good times we had as kids at the lake.

Sally was a wonderful person and a truly exceptional nurse. I worked with her at Hawthorn Center and admired her intuitive and empathic skills. She really touched all whom she worked with and cared for. My deepest sympathies to her family.  She will be missed....

I knew Sally from playing in a golf league for several years and golf outings with her for the Karmanos Cancer Foundation & Battered Women Foundation. She was outspoken & always with a smile.  No one could find more golf balls than Sally.  To this day, I still think of her when finding golf balls on the course. It was nice knowing her.

My cousin Sally lived her life with boundless passion and energy and passed that enthusiasm on to those she touched. Her smile brightened every room. And though we have lost one so very dear to all of us, we take comfort knowing that she rests in a much better place. Our Lord certainly has His hands full today.

Nathan and family.  My heart goes out to you for your loss of Sally.  I worked with her at Fairlawn, she played volleyball with us, and she stood up in my wedding - she was part of my extended family.  I feel blessed to have had her in my life and all that she taught me about how to live life by just being herself.  Her love of her job and the people she touched continue to stay with me. She truly embraced life! Her memory will live in my heart... Much love to all families.

The summers I spent growing up with my Aunt Sally on the lake were the best summers of my life. I will never forget the weeks in the summer she took off from work where I would go to her house almost every day. Or the hours we spent together decorating for many 4th of July celebrations. Or the time we took a daylong canoe trip and ended up under M-59.

My Aunt Sally was one of the few people I would actually listen to in my teenage years. She wasn't just an aunt, she was my friend. She had a special talent for communicating with younger people that very few adults posses. She also knew how to have fun in just about every situation... another trait very few adults possess. 

Not only did she teach me things like how to fish and golf, but she taught me how to be a fiercely independent woman who always goes after my goals. I can never thank her enough for that. I know I wouldn't be the same person I am today without her in my life, and I am sure many of you here today can say the same thing.

The most important thing she taught me was how to treat others with respect and dignity. It didn't matter who the person was or where they came from, my Aunt Sally treated them with respect. She was able to connect with almost everyone, and was the person many of us went to for advice. I was lucky to have such an amazing role mode in my life and I will always look to her for inspiration as I try to be a role model for the people she loved most in this world; her grandchildren.

She will be missed every day by so many people; especially by myself and our family. No day will ever be the same without her, but I know she will be watching all of us from heaven as we live lives she is proud of.

Sally was always a favorite cousin of the Tom Pfeiffer family. We got to know and love her as little kids when we visited our cottages that were next door to each other in Lexington.  Sally and her sisters took great joy in teasing the younger kids.  She did it so well (teasing that is!)  but  with  great heart and great humor! We will allways remember her for her mischevious nature and  her positive outlook and spirt.  She brigntened many days! We are so sorry she for her loss.

Sally was a caring nurse and great supervisor. I have never worked for a more positive and charismatic boss.  I will always remember her fondly.

Pfeiffer Family:  Sally will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family and extended family.  I find comfort in childhood memories of her from our family get togethers because we laughed, danced, sang and loved each other.

Ms Sally spent her life helping others.  She was and always will be an inspiration to me. She fulfilled multiple roles in my life......  My mentor when I went back to school.  She helped me GROW as a mother..... encouraging me to practice patience.  To know Sally is to love Sally.  Having her as my neighbor was like having a mother, a best friend and a sister all in one.  She made MY family  Her family- and for that I am forever thankful.

Cousin Sally will be so missed by the Mann Family. She was such a joyful person and her happiness was infectious. She was a lovingly GIVING person, and family reunions and Aunt Rose's birthday gatherings were that much more enhanced by Sally's generosity of house, food, and open arms. We know that Sally's joy that she shared with others came from loving her Lord God, and now this joy is complete with Sally seeing Jesus face to face. We pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort each and every family member and friend that Sally has blessed with her presence here on earth. Love from the Mann Clann.

Sadness and happiness. Tears with our smiles. Regrets, over too few opportunities to catch up after long absences, yet fond memories of times shared as a part of her large and extended family. She was one of the best psychiatric nurse and was loved and rispected by all her patients and coworkers. I had a privilege to know her for over 33 years and will miss her very much. I worked with Sally for years at Fairlawn Center and Sally and I went to Oakland Univ. together to get our bachelor's in nursing. We had so much fun, I always called Sally the "Gleaner". She could read a course book fast and glean everything important out of it to pass the exam. We did a community nursing class and spent many days in downtown Detroit talking to street folks. We laughed and we cried on many occasions. I had so much respect for Sally. She was an excellent nurse and supervisor. She knew when to duck and when to dance. Sally made a statement to me that has stayed with me, and that I try to live by.  I came into the office, (Fairlawn Ctr.) one day yelling and complaining about something.  Sally asked me, why are you yelling at me?  Is it just because I'm here?  I said, well I guess so.  She said:  You know, Sharon, â€œyou have a lot of good ideas, but nobody listens to you when you're yellingâ€.  That statement made a great impact on me and I think about it to this day.  Rest in peace Sally.  You have been a good influence on many.

I can't believe it.  Sally will always be this bigger than life person who made everything a competition.  She filled up a room with her personality.  She was so smart and such a good leader.  She held us together as we worked as a great team on Meadowview Five, Fairlawn Center.  I pray for her family and live with her memories.  I have lost a good friend.

Sally was truly "one of a kind". She sacrificed so much of herself to make other's lives better. What a great person and exceptional R.N. It was an honor to work with her. Praying for comfort to her family.
