Sheila Ann Cole, age 82, of White Lake, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at her home. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Steinhoff; her two grandchildren: Amanda (Ronald) Sosin, and Katie (Riley) Smith; her great-granddaughter, Aera Smith; her two siblings: John Huebler, and Sue Pearce; and many loving nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Sheila was born July 31, 1939, in Dearborn, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Earl and Stella (Deacon) Huebler. After graduating from high school, Sheila began her education at the Detroit Business School, where she trained to be a court reporter. She then went on to work as a reporter at the Oakland County Circuit Court for thirty-five years until her retirement in 2004. In her free time, Sheila could always be found playing a round of golf, working in her garden, or reading a good book. She also loved to knit, and had fond memories of the many trips she took to Alaska, Hawaii, and even Europe! She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Stella; her son, David Steinhoff; and her two sisters: Shirley Townsend, and Sharon Perry.
In accordance with Sheila’s wishes, cremation will take place. No public services have been scheduled. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions in Sheila’s memory to the Michigan Humane Society.
