

Terry G. Broemer of West Bloomfield, was born on December 10, 1950 in Ontonagon, Michigan to Kelly and Sis Broemer, and passed away September 21, 2019 in Commerce Township, Michigan at 68 years of age.
Terry was an Ontonagon High School class of 1969 graduate. He then earned his Bachelor's degree from Michigan Technological University. Terry was licensed Professional Engineer who spent the majority of his career and served as President and PE of Johnson & Anderson making it one of the most successful civil engineering firms in Michigan.
He was an avid outdoorsmen, spending most of his free time hunting and fishing across the globe. He went on hunts to many different areas including Alaska, Ireland, Canada and went on a safari in Africa. Terry split his time between his property in the U.P. and the Muskegon area. He was a lifetime member of the Safari Club International and Safari Club Novi. Terry served as past president and board member of SCI Novi for many years. He was a Mason and the proud dad of many labs, especially his dear Sadie who preceded him in death last month. Terry was a friend to all and was always up for a great conversation and a cold drink.
Terry was married to Suzanne (nee Dubey) Broemer until she passed away in 2012. Laura Sly was his companion most recently.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne. He is survived by his sweetheart, Laura Sly and her daughter, Megan Sly. Sister-in-law, Ruth Broemer along with his two step-children; Terese Nehra and Anthony Nehra.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, in White Lake. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Friday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Safari Club - Novi, Youth Hunter Development Program.
