Walter Valentine Nabozny, Jr.

Beloved husband of the late Donna. Loving father of Walter V. (Mary) Nabozny, II and Patrick M. Nabozny. Proud grandfather of Andrew R. (Megan) Nabozny, Trevor M. (Nicole) Nabozny, Adam J. (Victoria) Holbin, Ryan R. Holbin, Cynthia M. (Kyle) Newman, Lindsey (Jake) Unangst and Michael Nabozny. Treasured great-grandfather of Cayden, Raegan, Nolan, Eleanor, James Knight, Leo Thames, Etienne and Beatrix. Brother of John (Rosemary) Nabozny (Tucson, AZ) and William (Teresa) Nabozny (Brighton MI).

Walter was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 1, 1938 to Walter and Josephine Nabozny. He graduated from Chadsey High School and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Sears Roebuck, Inc after many years of dedicated service.

Mr. Nabozny was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the former St. Patrick Men’s Club. He was a founding member of Gunlock Lodge and an avid sportsman. He will be very much missed by all.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 3:00pm until 8:00 pm at the White Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake with a Rosary Service at 4:00 pm.

Funeral Services along with military honors will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins in White Lake. The family will receive guests at church from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 11:00 am. There will be a memorial luncheon immediately following the mass at church.

Walter will then be reunited with his wife on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 12:30 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
