Blanche Irene Rose, age 91, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She was born in Hoxie, Kansas on July 21, 1933 to Walter Emory and Mina Irene (Timmons) Marsh. Blanche was employed as an Accounting Clerk at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years. During that time she also served as secretary/treasurer of CWA Local 6402 for 11 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Penny Rae (Gerdsen) Farris, her granddaughter, Kylie RaeLynn Sanderson and 8 siblings. Survivors include her son: Richard Leon (Diane) Gerdsen; sister, Barbara Plumb; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024; Celebration of Life Service: 10 a.m.Tuesday, October 29, 2024, both at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th Street N, Wichita, Kansas 67203. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W. 47th St. South, Wichita, Kansas 67215. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice in memory of Blanche.
