Daniel Joel Bitner, age 74 passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Daniel was born in Marion, Kansas on April 17, 1950 to Austin "Joe" and Fernetta (Matz) Bitner. He enjoyed deer hunting with his son on his land in Elk County Kansas. Daniel was a stained glass artist. He was most proud of the Three Panel Windows that he designed and built for the Parlor Room at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He married Karen Carbiener on July 25, 1986 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wichita. Daniel was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church serving as an Usher and Elder. He was a faithful Christian called home by his Heavenly Father after a too brief battle with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Karen Bitner; his son Shawn Bitner; his brother Tony (Deb) Bitner and his sister Virginia Druse; his grandchildren Tristen, Gabriel, Austin, Autumn, Summer and his great-grandchildren Hunter, Willow.
A memorial service for Daniel will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 909 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas 67211.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 909 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas 67211.
