While born in Garden City, Daryl spent much of his life in Wichita, KS where he met and married Geneva, with whom he shared half of his life.
Daryl was an avid stamp collector, waiting for the post office to deliver his latest collection of stamps until his last breath.
Also a long-time member and proud supporter of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Daryl served as Secretary for almost 10 years and auditor for 25 years supporting local Eagles Lodges in and around Wichita, KS.
Daryl loved his family and left a lasting impression on all. Whether it’s the shared stories of being a boy scout or laughing together at his “funny walk”, imitated by his youngest grandson, each family member has memories that they will hold forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jonell Friend.
