

David Earl Cravens, 50, of Andover, KS, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2024, due to complications from congestive heart failure. Born on November 21, 1974, David was a protective and loyal husband, father, brother, son, and friend whose intelligence, humor, and love for his family left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
David is survived by his loving wife Mandy and her children, Khloe, Baylee, and Paytyn, and his two daughters, Alyssa, 25, and Emma, 12. Alyssa has a successful career in corporate retail management, while Emma exhibits her father’s intelligence and strength. He is also survived by his brothers, Carl (Karen) and Don (Shari), sister Cyndi (Phil) and his step-father Paul. David was predeceased in death by his mother, Janice Dow, father, Charles Cravens, and brothers, Charles and James.
Professionally, David was a talented machinist and expert flooring installer known for his skill and dedication. His ability to fix almost anything earned him admiration and respect. Beyond his work, David was known for his humor and ability to lighten any moment, even during life’s most challenging times.
David’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His family, friends, and community will honor his legacy in a public service that will be held at Hillside Funeral Home West in Wichita Kansas at 2:00 in the afternoon on Saturday January 11. Visitation prior to services will be held Friday January 10 from 4:00-8:00pm at the same location. To honor him, donations can be made in memory of David Cravens to Saint Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City.
