Ken Sheck

Ken Sheck, 73, died Friday January 7, 2011. Ken spent his whole life in Wichita, with the exception of his military service. On April 11, 1959 he married Marjorie Brown. They were blessed with three daughters and one son. In 1966, he was honorably discharged from his service with the Army National Guard. He spent most of his career as a copier technician and retired from USD 259. On December 29,1986, Marge died after a lengthy battle with cancer. He married Julia Mauck on September 15, 1990. He is survived by his wife, Julia; son, Kevin Sheck and wife Tami of St. Charles, MO; Step-sons: Shay Mauck and wife Joan of Hilton, South Africa and Cory Mauck and wife Trish of Wichita; daughters: Stephanie Kucharo and husband Tim of Sedgwick, Cindy Ritchie and husband Kevin of Lubbock, TX; and Anita Wertz and husband David of Wichita; Step-daughter Kelly Rose and husband Brian of Wichita; sisters Patricia Cohn and husband Gerald of San Antonio, TX and Joyce Betkey of Wichita and 22 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kyle, Emily, and Kraig Sheck; Ben and Gareth Mauck; Chelsey, Lindsey and Jorden Mauck; Ryan, Nathan, and Brent Kucharo; Konner, Paige and Karson Ritchie; Katie and Josh Wertz; Dylan, Bailey, Gavin, and Braden Rose and 1 great-grandson, Jacob Kucharo. Ken was proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth and Nadine and his sister Marcie Sheck.

Visitation will be from 1-8 Monday; family will receive friends 6-8 at Hillside West. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm. Tuesday January 11, 2011 at the Riverwalk Church of Christ 225 N. Waco. Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to; the Mission fund at Riverwalk Church of Christ.
