I'm not sure if Barry and brothers will remember me but we lived on McComas and I remember you shoveling our snow. My kid were Shauna and Trey. I got acquainted with Lova after the kids were older. I used to ride my bike and would stop and visit with her. I was a teacher so we were able to share stories. Over the years we would run into each other at the store and enjoyed catching up. The last time I saw Lova was at Braums, she was telling me about a back surgery. I was very fond of her and always enjoyed our visits. Prayers and condolences to the Brittain family.

The Britain family were our neighbors in west Wichita from 1972 until 1980. Barry, you (or your brother)were our paper boy! Later, I worked with Lova at USD 259. She was such a sweetheart, and everyone was drawn to her welcoming smile. What a wonderful gift she was given—to be able to attend so many special events with so many loved ones: school programs and plays, weddings, anniversary’s, and new babies to cuddle. Lova will be missed, but what a legacy she leaves to make the world a better place. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Sending love to the family of Mom Lova! She made such an impact in my life,  She loved everyone as we were apart of her family, and we loved her just the same. I know that her soul is resting well.  She served others effortlessly, her arms gave the warmest hug,  and her smile was so delightful.  She will truly be missed. ❤️

Heartfelt condolences to Lova's family. She was such a sweet person! I have fond memories of our time at AMAC. I worked in Human Resources where she often substituted. Lova never failed to inquire about how my brother-in-law and his wife were doing. They were longtime neighbors of hers and had since moved away. What I remember most about Lova was her love of family. She was a very proud grandma! May your cherished memories of her help at this difficult time.

I met Ms. Lova, at the Wichita Public Schools Admin Building, where I worked as a Security Officer, and when I didn't have someone to come sit at the front desk, she would volunteer, after a few times, she ask if she could be my reg. sub, because she loved people and that was her way of seeing old friends,  she enjoyed catching up and laughing as she greeted the public, I enjoyed having her at the desk with me, she would often times, bring pastries, and her famous candy, my favorite as like others were her double dipped chocolate covered peanuts, I would have to share with my brother ,lol, so she would give him his own bag,lol, she also made chocolate coverd carmal Turtles, because she knew my brother loved them the most, and her home made Zucchini bread and Banana Bread, was so moist and wonderful, she always made my Christmas Holidays Great!! we'd share stories about our children and grand children, we shared Prayers for one another, she welcomed me into her family with open arms, so instead of calling her Ms. Lova, it went to Mom Lova, she was a great inspiration to me , I would talk about her so much to my Mother, that they finally met each other and formed a new Friendship, even though they didn't get to see one another too often, it didn't stop them from asking about the other and praying for one another, I went on to form a bond with her daughter Shara and grand daughter Sabita, who was her pride and joy, oh how she loved her and wanted the best for her, she was so Godly proud of her Beautiful grand baby Sabita, we enjoyed good times even when times weren't so great, we still found encouraging words for one another, Mom Lova, I love you and will truly miss you, I'm praying comfort and strength for the family , remember to love one another as Mom Lova  loved you all, God bless you

Good afternoon to the family of Lava Britian.  I was married to Doris Ann Mills Allison, a 1st cousin of Lova. My wife lost a five year battle with Parkinson's Disease on 8/23/2020, after 64 years of marriage.
    For several years before her death Doris and Lova became email buddies, sharing/rehashing a lifetime of memories of life, family and health issues as a Senior.  They both enjoying communicating. My impression was that the Hicks family seemed to be great communicators?????
   It is always sad to lose a loved one, even when it is not a surprise.
