Shoemaker, Marie M., 72, former owner of Dyne Quik restaurant, passed away Feb. 21, 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer. Visitation with family present, Wed., Feb. 24, 5-7 P.M. at Hillside Funeral Home West. Services will be Thu., Feb. 25, 11:00 AM, also at Hillside West, 2929 W. 13th. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cem., Oatville. She is survived by daughters Yoshie-Dawn (Kim) Kasselman and Robin Gatson; brother John (Sue) Kester, Jr., sisters Margaret (Gene) Ritthaler, Barbara Smith, Diane (Carrol) Crossfield, and Bridget Cozad; brother-in-law Ken Pettit, sister-in-law Janice Kester, former husband and childrens’ father Don (Lu) Gatson, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and beloved dog “Missy.”.
