Raymond began life as an adventurer. He traveled back to Ohio in a sidecar when he was one month old as his parents returned to be close to family and friends. His biggest life adventure was being a proud member of the United States Navy, and serving his country during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis (Wright) Bowers; son Michael Bowers; brother, Gene Bowers; sister, Pat Asher; and granddaughter Tracy Bowers.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Carol (Bowers) Hummer; great-granddaughter, Kelcey (Bowers) Miller; great-grandson, Coltan Bowers; 4 great-great-grandsons; and longtime friend and caretaker, Gary Fleck.
A graveside service for Raymond will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at White Chapel Cemetery, 1806 N. Oliver St., Wichita, KS 67208.
