Roger L. Rausch

Roger graduated from Kapaun High School in 1965. After high school he served overseas in the army and was honorably discharged in 1968. Upon returning home, he attended and graduated from Wichita State University with a business degree. He soon began a career with the IRS where he worked for over 30 years before retiring.

Roger was married to Melissia Burks in 1973, and they were blessed with two children, Brian and Sara. Roger was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Wichita, KS. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed golfing. He treasured being with family and took great joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Roger is survived by his son, Brian Rausch (Melinda) of Lebo, KS, and his daughter, Sara Peak (Kevin) of Overland Park, KS; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Larry Shellhammer of Wichita, KS; and a brother, Glenn Rausch of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Daniel, Logan, and Isaac Rausch and Abigail, Asher, and Theodore Peak; and many extended family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Loren Rausch; and his nephew, Stephen Shellhammer.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home, 2929 W. 13th St. N., Wichita. A funeral mass will be 10am on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4411 W. Maple, Wichita. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67212.
