I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Tusten personally, but I did know Jackie & Randy because we use to run around together in our younger years. I just realized today that Tusten was your son. No words can fill the empty hole you will have in your heart, but take comfort in knowing he will always be with you.....

Did you know I knew you longer than anyone else. Don't believe me? Ask mom. I told her many times to let you out of her tummy because I had played with you when I was in there and I wanted to play with you again! Though I was convinced you would be green because you were going to be born near Christmas I was still excited to be your sister. It is said that I never announced that I was getting a little brother but a Tusten. Maybe that is because I knew you would never be my little brother but my BIG younger brother. That in itself made our relationship difficult but unique. We both wanted to be one another's protector. So, even though it was difficult for us to be as close as we should have, we always knew we would be there for each other. You always showed up when I really needed you. You were there for me after my car accidents, when I needed help moving, and even when my heart was broken. Even more you really showed up as an uncle to my little girl! You were the best Uncle to JaNora. I've been told by so many that she was your pride and joy. Looking at pictures of the two of you, I know that fact is undeniable. I miss so much about you; your smile, your laugh, us laughing about how you could be so tall and I could be so short, calling you Mater as you drove in reverse (better than anyone I have ever seen), your "I got you(s), " but most of all I miss seeing the way you looked at JaNora, The love you held for her shined through your eyes, I miss hearing the laugh she only had when playing with you; I miss you so much just for her... I really miss you.  Tusten, please know you will NEVER NOT be remembered. I love you.

Tuz- there is a saying "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away."  When you held a baby so gently, the way a child always felt comfort and safe when those giant hands held them- always took ones breath away.  How you took a grown mans breath away because of your size, but made a woman feel so safe with that size.  Tuz you touched so many people and took so many breaths away with all you did.  I love you baby boy.

T-  You are an amazing person and a very good friend.  I MISS you so much.  The great times that we had together at work, sharing jokes and just chillin.  My heart goes out to your family.  One day we will see one another again, until then my friend watch over all of us and keep us safe, as I know that is all you were doing.

T ~ I already miss you so MUCH !!! I will never forget the things you taught me when I first moved here, I will never forget our long talks about so many things ~ work , life , just everthing . You were the TRUE defination of a MAN & a TRUE FRIEND , with a heart of GOLD !! I am deeply saddened and shocked by the loss of Tustin.  Tustin always had an infectious enthusiasm in class at GHS.  Long after he had graduated, he continued to stop by to let me know what was happening in his life. I loved seeing him and hearing about his exploits.  His visits were greatly appreciated and he will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends....

Although I never knew Tusten much out of the car scene and through other people, he was always helping someone out it seemed.  I just saw him at the Riverfest car show only a month ago and he helped me find my way in to park.  The world lost a great person and he will always be in our prayers.  God bless.

Deepest sympathy to the Edwards family-loving thoughts and prayers for you all at this time. We didn't personally know Tusten but the tributes written here speaks volumes of his character. He knowingly put himself in harms way to protect others-What a wonderful loving Man!

Tusten was a great guy who loved others and always carried a smile. Although I never knew him very well in high school, everyone knew of his contagious smile and personality! My prayers are with your family! Say hi to Jesus for me Tusten! You will be greatly missed!

Tusten always knew how to make the people smile and feel wonderful!  I know there was not a life he hadn't touched or wouldn't try to lead a helping hand.  Tusten always put others before himself.  He was a wonderful man, I know he will be missed by everyone.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

To Tusten's family you are in my thoughts and prayers. I had only known Tustin when he started doing security up at Advance Warehouse in Salina, Ks.  He loved to make us laugh when we were down and he always had something polite to say as we came into work.  On Monday mornings he would make sure he was inside to ask how my daughter did the past weekend on her racing.  I was looking forward to telling him the awesome news until I heard the tragic news.  Tustin you will always be in my heart and thoughts especially at the races.

Growing up with Tusten in school allowed me to see how joyful he was regardless the circumstances. He always had a way of looking at the positives in life and somehow giving those around him the same gift. His kind acts will not be forgotten. He will not be forgotten. God bless you Tusten.

I used to drive school bus that Tusten rode.  I remember when his sister had a car wreck, & his concern & passion for his sister!  He was a wonderful kid, & will be missed by many.  But I'm sure the Lord has a few vehicles that might need to be fixed, repaired or special projects for Tuzz to do!  God be with you.

I met Tusten years ago through working on cars. I quickly realized what a gentleman he is. I always knew Tusten to standup for what is right and give a helping hand to anyone. The world lost a great man last friday. We will all miss you.

I remember growing up down the street from Tusten.  He was always happy and full of joy.  Then when I moved in my first apartment he was the one who did security.  I felt pretty safe coming home every night knowing that he was watching and protecting.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family....may his memories bring you joy in this time of sorrow.

Tuz, we will miss your big generous heart and your humor when times were bad.  You were always there when Emily and JaNora needed you, especially this last year or more.  I know you will still be looking out for them from heaven and will send a swarm of guardian angels to help watch over them.  We really loved you big guy, and you will continually be in our hearts and thoughts.  To Jackie, Emily, and JaNora---remember he is just a thought away and will always be with you. When I read the paper I knew it was the Tusten I had in first grade years ago. Then as I read the guest book entries I knew they all knew the same Tusten that I did.  He was always smiling and loved everyone.  He had such a big heart.  I will always remember him as one of the sweetest children I taught! I just wish when you stopped by my office a little over a month ago I would have had a break so I could have talked with you longer. I still cannot believe you are gone, my prayers have been with you and your family since Friday. I take solace in the fact that you were trying to help others when you died, something few of us can ever say. Tuz is no longer with us on this planet. But he will always be here in spirit, and in our memories. He will not soon be forgotten, in which makes him immortal. He immortal in our thoughts, and memories. I will pass his name on down to my younger family, speaking of how great of a person he was, and still is. We will speak of him throughout our days, never forgetting what he has done for all of us. It was said unto me many times, that if you do not release your lost ones memories, and still feel sorrow, Then they cannot rest in peace, so I say to all, to not remember him in sorrow, but to remember the good times, and we shall all lift him up to the  lord, and take him there. This world was a better place with him. People were better people around him, I do not fear the after life anymore, because I know that he is there, and will make it better for all of us now.

My heart goes out to all of Tustens family! He was a really great person and a great friend to all! He will be greatly missed! I remember back when i think he was 18 when he moved in to his first place i went over there to help him paint, well it ended up that i got more painted then the house! I also remember having many water fights at the house and him chasing me around his house with his big red bird because i was terrified of it! Tusten thought it was extreemly funny! Thinking back it was! I called Tusten my super hero and he will always be that to me! I found my self in scary situations as a teenager and Tusten was the one who came and rescued me out of them! He was the best friend i could have ever asked for and was like a big brother to me! Tusten i know your in heaven looking down at us all protecting us! One day i hope we meet again! I love you Super hero!!!
