January 30, 1955 - March 11, 2020
Faye Dell Ingram was born on January 30, 1955, in Dallas, TX, to parents Sam Park and Camille Jay Snow. She was “the much younger sister,” emphasis on younger, of four siblings. But she always knew she was special because of a doting family. She peacefully passed from this life on the evening of March 11, 2020, at the age of 65, surrounded by family.
In 1976, Faye graduated from Abilene Christian University, Abilene, TX, with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics and Family Studies. Following graduation, she moved to Fort Collins, CO, where she worked with the college ministry program through Meadowlark Church of Christ. In Colorado, she met and married John Ingram in 1977. Together, they moved to Vicksburg, MS, in 1979 and were members of Vicksburg Church of Christ. She gave birth to her only son, Timothy, in 1981.
Following a divorce in 1991, she moved to Lafayette, CO, with her son in 1993, where she was a member of Boulder Valley Church of Christ. In 2000, Faye moved to Tyler, TX, to be near her mother. Faye worked until she retired in 2019 as a Disbursements and Travel Manager for The University of Texas at Tyler.
In 2019, Faye moved to Argyle, TX, to be near her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, whom she loved without measure. From sewing matching dresses for her granddaughter and dolls, to baking biscuits and cooking her favorite from-scratch meals and sweets, Faye was proud to be called “Mamaw” within her son’s family.
Faye will be remembered for her faith and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, her love and devotion to family, her mastery of cooking, her creative crafts, and her boisterous laugh. She enjoyed hosting dinner parties for friends and family, singing, and loving on her grandchildren.
Faye was always a great source of love, wit, and wisdom. As she said at her son’s wedding, “There are three things that I want to leave with you both. Put God first, your partner second, and your family third. As you walk hand in hand, always look to God in your life and you will be on the right track. Remember, if you get off track your Mamaw’s eyebrows will be raised a little higher to heaven.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Dan Anders.
Surviving family include her son Timothy A. Ingram and wife Rachel of Flower Mound, TX; granddaughter Evelyn Ingram and grandson Theodore Ingram; sister Judith L. Anders of Tyler TX; brother Sam Park Snow II and wife Dianna of Lago Vista, TX; sister Karen L.
