Wanda Ruth Jillson was born on March 5, 1944 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Jess and Iva Chambers. She passed away on July 22, 2020 at age 76. She married Gene Jillson on February 2, 1973. They raised three daughters and one son. She went to school in Norman, Oklahoma and graduated from Noble High School. She loved to go to the casino with her husband, and go travelling with her children and grandchildren. She was also the best spinners player you’ll ever meet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Hightower, her brother Floyd Chambers, and her son Tony Draper.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Jillson; her three daughters, Sheila Vestal and husband Mark, Deborah Bomba and husband Martin, Rebecca Rowe and husband Mark, all of San Antonio, TX; and by two sisters; Anna Cossey of Norman, Oklahoma, Janie Allen and husband Dave of Conroe, TX, as well as Betty Hightower’s husband Donnie of Norman, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all who love and miss her dearly.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home, Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX. Due to the current pandemic we please ask that only family members attend the service. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home.
