Carrie H. Dysart passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born in Irving, Texas to the late Joseph Arthur Hooper and Fay Shippey Hooper. Carrie was a longtime resident of Chalmette, Louisiana. After August, 2005 she resided in New Roads where she was a member of St.Mary of False River Catholic Church. She lived and loved to be around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Carrie is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Joseph Dysart, Sr., her parents; Joseph Arthur Hooper and Fay Shippey Phillips, and her sisters; Anne Vogt and Nina Ross.
She is survived by her sons; John Dysart Jr, Daniel Dysart (Diana) Michael Dysart, Gerald Dysart (Judy), and her daughter; Faye Anne Morrison (Mark), her grandchildren; Cori Gagnard (Jeff ), Katie Dysart, Daniel Dysart (Theresa) Chris Dysart (Erica), Amy Credeur (Matt), Michael Dysart (Caroline), Kacie Carruth (James), Andrew Dysart, Matthew Dysart, and Reese Morrison, and her great-grandchildren; Evyn Gagnard, Addisyn Gagnard, Emri Gagnard, Charlotte Gagnard, Dylan Gagnard, Luke Gagnard, Stella Dardar, Daniel Dysart, Jack Dysart, Gracyn Dysart, Madden Credeur, Annabelle Credeur, Kinley Credeur, Alexandra Credeur, Clayton Carruth, and John Michael Dysart.
Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM. Following the mass, there will be a committal service held in All Saints Mausoleum.
