Pat was married to Ariel Gonzalez 27 years however has been divorced since 1997. Pat had a career in a medical administration for many companies, but her last spent the last 3 years with Harris Health Systems.
Pat was a member of Philadelphia Christian Church in Houston, Texas where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She had a passion for playing the piano although never having a formal lesson; she had an ear for the sound of the keyboard. Mom’s hobbies consisted of spending all of her time with her children and grandchildren watching movies, playing games, and going on outings together.
Pat was gifted with a sensitive heart for people and a gentle spirit. At times, when provoked, she could be a little rough around the edges; even so, she never stopped loving the company of people.
Pat was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Lucita Castaneda and Florencio Vega, uncles Antonio O. Castaneda Sr., Rudolph Vega, Florencio Vega Jr., Joe O. Castaneda Jr., cousin Tony Castaneda Jr., and aunts Delia Botello and Celia Moreno.
Pat is survived by her children Monica Ann Gonzalez, Ezequiel Ian Gonzalez, Abigail Nicole Sanchez and Gabriela Ariel Gonzalez. Pat had seven grandchildren, Elezar Gonzalez, Lazarus Gonzalez, Jade Nalia Favela, Liliana Nakia Favela, King Nathan Favela, Nathan Izaiah Favela and Bianca Imani Gonzalez. She also leaves behind her father and mother, Gabriel and Velia Castaneda, brothers, Gabriel Jr. and wife Sandra Castaneda, Robert and wife Sarah Castaneda, Richard Castaneda, sisters, Dora Carbajal, Pilar and husband Ramiro Casso, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Although Pat will be missed by the hearts that she touched, we can have the confidence in knowing that she is in Heaven with her Heavenly Father. God’s words tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident of this, to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” We love you mom always and forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 3 from 4:30-7:30PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598. A Celebration of Patricia’s Life will be held Monday, March 4 at 12:30PM. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
