Terry John Negri, 75, of Ames passed away Friday, 27 May 2022. Terry was born in Peru Illinois on 13 December 1946 to Mildred (Kneebone) and Emil Negri and raised in Oglesby Illinois. Terry attended LaSalle-Peru Township High School. Upon graduation, Terry entered the United States Air Force. After leaving the US Air Force Terry completed his Associated in Arts from Illinois Valley Community College. Terry met the love of his life, Barbara, and married her on 13 February 1998. Terry worked for Iowa State University as an electrician until his retirement.

Terry was very active in the American Legion. He like gardening with his wife Barb planting perennials and working on their pond. Terry and Barb enjoyed traveling through the country especially to Vegas and Hawaii with their friends Jack and Carol Henneberry.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, his parents and many aunts and uncles.

Terry is survived by his two step-grandsons Zachary and Zayden Larson; his cousins Jane Weberski and William Craven both of Illinois; his friends Jack and Carol Henneberry of Illinois; and his step-daughter-in-law Lisa Larson and his stepson Matthew Larson.
