

Victoria “Vicki” Sue Sexton, 73, passed away at the Cedar Valley Hospice House, In Waterloo, Iowa, on Thursday August 12, 2021. Vicki was born Sept 23, 1947, in Sigourney, Iowa to Harry and Susan (Adams) Brown. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1965. In 1968 she met Clifford Coble and in Jan of 1969 she had her first son Bryan. Soon after the couple separated and Vicki moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she drove a taxicab, and worked in a nursing home. In 1974, she met the love of her life Jack Sexton, and on January 24, 1976, the couple were married in Moline, Illinois. The couple had their daughter on September 4, 1976. Through the years Vicki worked in local nursing homes, and medical offices. Her desire to serve people drove her to start her own Day Care business and later Senior Care in Cedar Falls, IA. In her free time, she loved playing Bingo and cards. She bowled in many bowling leagues over the last 40+ years. Vicki could also be found playing her favorite slots with her husband in the local casinos and traveling around the state looking at the at the Freedom Rocks. Her all-time favorite was spending time with her family. She could not wait for the next time she could spend with her grand kids and great grand kids.
Vicki was preceded in death, by both her parents, her brothers; Harry and Bob Brown, and three sisters; Pat Bird, Fran Hollingworth, and Darlene Creech.
She is survived by her husband of the home, daughter Tonja (Mike) of Waterloo, Iowa, her son Bryan (Kelly) of Kansas City, Missouri, six grandchildren; David, Brittany, Teiana, Peyten, Keontay, and Emily. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Vicki’s name.
A Celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00 PM August 28th, 2021, at the Mystic Moon Event Center, 1955 Locke Ave., Waterloo, Iowa 50702.
