Ananth's career was with IBM as a software engineer. He enjoyed mechanical hobbies such as fixing and improving appliances as well as vehicles. He was a member of the Kannada Association of NC.
He is survived by his wife: Devika Murthy Gowd; son: Anirudh Gowd; and other family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11 AM in the Wynne Center at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (300 St. Mary's Street - Raleigh, NC 27605).
