AUX SOINS DE

Apex Funeral Home

Andrew Francis Colurciello, Sr., 81, of Holly Springs, passed away on January 4, 2024, in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

Andrew was born on August 28, 1942, in Marlboro, New York, to the late Andrew Albert and Rose A. Rottino Colurciello. Andrew was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy class of 1960 and IBM Technical School. In 1992, Andrew retired from IBM, East Fishkill, New York, after 32 years of dedicated service. On April 12, 1964, Andrew married the love of his life and best friend, Barbara Genevieve Monaco, and the two built a beautiful life together, setting an example of true love, loyalty, and devotion to their children. Andrew was a true gentleman and a most loving husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in law, uncle, and friend. Andrew enjoyed bowling, playing softball, fishing, and listening to his Elvis Presley music. Whatever work Andrew did, whether with his job, or at home, he did so with his best effort and had an amazing work ethic of which he took great pride. Andrew was a sincere man, who always put others before himself and would be the first to offer to assist others. Andrew welcomed all and had a way of making everyone, even strangers, feel at ease. After a simple conversation, he would make you feel like he knew you all along and when he made a friend, he was a friend for life. In all of his dealings with others, he was fair, honest, sweet, and kind, and that combined with his sense of humor, intelligence, and quick wit, is what those who loved him most will miss about him. Andrew was a great listener and treated all those he encountered with respect and dignity, never impressed by rank, but rather treating all as he would wish to be treated. Andrew always stated that his most precious work in this life was being husband and father and he loved his family above all else. One of his favorite things was spending time with the newest additions to the family, his great-grandchildren, and spending time talking to his grandchildren, listening to their stories and watching them grow in all their activities. He proudly sported college sweatshirts and hats, and braved the elements to attend sports and graduations. Andrew's love for Barbara, his children, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was what he valued above all else and we will spend our days making certain to continue to carry his legacy.

In addition to his parents, Andrew is predeceased by his wife, Barbara; brother, Richard Thomas Colurciello; step-mother, Mary Ponessa Colurciello; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florence Fabrizio Monaco and Joseph Monaco; brothers-in-law, Gesidio "Chip", Joseph, Frank, Nicholas, and Anthony Monaco; sisters-in-law, Florence Monaco Palumbo, Regina Monaco Warf, Darla Gilnick Monaco and Kathleen MacGhee Monaco; daughter-in-law, Susan Gallagher Colurciello.

Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his beloved sons, Andrew Francis Colurciello, Jr. (Teri-Anne), Oakland, NJ, and Joseph John Colurciello, Sr., Lockhart, TX; daughter, Robin Lynn Galante (Giorgio), Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Nicole Ryan (Taylor Price), Newburgh, NY, Gabriella Amanda (Jose Degollado), Waco, TX, Alexandria Melissa (Jonathan Alvarez), Lockhart, TX, Sarah Emily (Joseph Boehlert), Raleigh, NC, Joseph John, Jr., Lockhart, TX, Julianna Elena, Dallas, TX, and Angelina Rose Colurciello, Oakland, NJ; Gabriella Rose, Holly Springs, NC and Alexander Calogero Galante, Holly Springs, NC; Nadine, Clarice, and Shannan Foster, Oakland, NJ; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Alexander and Elena Lorraine Alvarez, Lockhart, TX; brother and sisters-in-law, John and Michele Colurciello of Newburgh, NY and Victoria Colurciello of Milton, NY; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends and extended family, particularly Calogero and Philomene Galante, Gardner, and Alvarez families.
