Andrew Pickens

Mr. Pickens was a beautiful man that served God through serving his fellow man. He took great care of all who ever had the pleasure to know him. It can be said that he was a fisher of men as he was a Pastor for many local churches, as well as others in South Carolina and Georgia.

Andrew is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Ellington (Larry) of Apex, NC, Andrea Young (Danny) of Raleigh, NC, and Susan Harrod of Morrisville, NC; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Brown (Benny) and Alma Watkins; brother, Aubrey Pickens (Betty); sister-in-law, Elease Pickens; and many loving family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Sarah B. Pickens and their granddaughter, Kimberly Harrod.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. Burial will then follow in Apex Cemetery, Apex, NC.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502 and one hour prior to the service from 2:00pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church of your choice in Andrew Pickens Honor.
